Villa Poggio alle Dune<\/h2>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space]

Careful renovation work has seen the old manor house of one of the prime agricultural estates on the island of Elba come fully back to life. It takes its name from the protected dune of Lacona that lies below it, separating the sea from the land.<\/p>\n

The farmhouse dates back to the end of the 19th century and was built in a position that overlooks the Gulf of Lacona<\/strong>. It houses two-room suites with terraces giving fine views over the sea, while on the ground floor there is a loft on two levels with a garden also overlooking the sea.

Swimming pool<\/h2>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space]

Even though the beach is very close by, our guests are free to relax in absolute peace and privacy in our brand new 13 metre by 6 metre infinity pool, which also has a 20-cm deep area for the little ones, a 1.20-metre-deep intermediate area with a whirlpool for 6 people, a cervical waterfall, and a 1.50-metre-deep area for swimming.<\/p>\n

The pool is heated or cooled and it is surrounded by a large lawn, partly shaded by maritime pines, where guests can walk barefoot, sunbathe or relax and read a book.<\/p>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space]<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The villa is surrounded by more than 10 hectares of pine forests and Mediterranean scrub alternating with vineyards and crops from the organic farm called Orti di Mare.<\/strong>
\nThey have been lovingly growing organic fruit and vegetables here for over 25 years now., while the agritourism facility just a stone\u2019s throw from the Villa itself has its own food shop, bar and bistro service, as well as a children\u2019s playground.<\/p>\n

The centre of Lacona is just a ten-minute walk away and offers a supermarket, pharmacy, pizzerias, bars, restaurants, ice cream parlours, rotisseries, boat rentals, e-bike, car and scooter rentals, and an ATM.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Beach<\/h2>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space]

Just a few steps from the house, through a pine forest surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, there is one of the largest and most beautiful sandy beaches on the island of Elba; namely Lacona beach.<\/p>\n

There are large areas of free beach in the central part and to its west and east there are equipped lidos offering lifeguard service, bars and restaurants, as well as rental of sunshades, loungers, pedalos, canoes and dinghies<\/strong>.
\nThe more secluded Laconella beach to the west, and the Margidore beach with its small harbour to the east, can also be reached on foot just beyond a small promontory.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
